Hi, I have a question about the UK driving licence. I hold a full license and have it for 40 years however it is not a photo ID version. Can I still use this with my passport as photo ID?
You need to check online with <b>DVLA</b> (Driver And Vehicle Licensing Agency) and see what they say.
But from rental car perspective I think that combination will be OK.
I know the licence is valid ie. the DVLA have no issue. I just want to ensure that if I hire a car I will not have issues when I pick it up.
The paper + passport combination will be OK.
If by chance they refuse, will it be OK for my wife to step in and drive ie. will they be happy to transfer the hire?
