Driver's age

25 to 99 years.

Customers who fall outside the age limitations will not be able to hire a car unless there is a young or senior driver fee specified in this section. Please note that if applicable, this fee will be included in the rental price and will be payable on arrival at the rental desk in the local currency.

Travel Restrictions

Hertz vehicles cannot be driven into and/or dropped off in any African, Asian or Middle-East country nor in Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Greenland, Hungary, Iceland, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan.

Hertz vehicles cannot be taken to and/or dropped off in the following islands: Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Corsica and Sardinia.

Vehicles may be driven but not dropped off into Czech Republic, Poland, Portugal.

The following vehicle groups cannot be driven into Italy: I and J.

Hertz vehicles cannot be driven into Norway, Sweden and Finland between 1 October and 1 April as vehicles are not winterised for extreme weather conditions.

Should you bring the vehicle outside the Netherlands, a Cross Border fee of € 25.00 (including tax) will apply except for customers on business contract rates (CR).

Please note a penalty charge of € 600.00 may apply, should you omit to declare you will be driving the vehicle out of the Netherlands.

Should these restrictions be ignored all insurance (Third Party Liability, CDW, TP, PI, Super Cover), if accepted, shall be deemed, null and void. The driver will be held fully responsible in case of damage to or loss of the vehicle and will bear all consequences, including the cost of repatriation of the damaged vehicle.
